Jakarta Barat is the working west — Glodok and Kota Tua at its edge, the long flat stretches of Daan Mogot, and the older industrial belts that run toward the airport. It is the district where the city's Chinese-Indonesian commercial history lives most visibly, and where the cameras tend to face the long, broad roads that move freight as much as commuters.
What you'll see
Wide intersections on Daan Mogot, the elevated traffic on Tomang, and the older grid around Kota Tua, where the colonial-era buildings have been progressively restored and the camera frames sometimes catch the brick facades from awkward angles. Expect heavier truck traffic than the southern districts, and a higher density of small-shop frontage in the lens.

About the coverage
Coverage in Jakarta Barat is uneven. The major arteries are well-watched, particularly anything connected to the toll road system, but the older neighbourhoods around Tambora and Taman Sari fade quickly from the network. A few cameras on the Kota Tua side were installed for tourism management and frame the old square from fixed angles that have not changed in years.
